Diverse clients, including corporations, small businesses, government, non-profits, and universities have utilized her background, knowledge, and experience. Dr. Waisman’s background includes 16 years as a principal in The Athena Group, LLC, a consulting firm that specialized in developing workforce training with a focus on communication issues and Leadership Development, from the new supervisor to the highest-level executive. Charlotte’s love of helping people to succeed led her to executive coaching. She is a highly experienced executive coach coming to the coaching profession following 14 years as a tenured professor at Northeastern Illinois University and the University of Utah.
Because her Ph.D. is in Communications, Executive Coaching was a natural transition to her work in both corporate settings and non-profits where she strives to make a significant difference for each person whose life she touches. She has become a leader who helps deliver business outcomes in challenging environments. She has an established track record, and she uses her coaching skills to help to build cross-functional global teams and problem- solving collaboratively with all stakeholders.
Charlotte was one of five women founders who were instrumental in the design and development of Leadership Ascent, an intensive year-long leadership development program. It was designed to accelerate the career paths of mid and upper-level corporate women. Charlotte’s book, The Leadership Training Activity Book, Amacom Press, 2005, reflects the program, which in 2014 was cited as the Number One Leadership Training and Development program in the entire U.S.
In 2013 Charlotte’s best-selling book, HER STORY: A Timeline of the Women Who Changed America, was re-issued as a paperback, originally published by HarperCollins in 2008.
